Antique wooden blanket chest. The front of the chest features two distinct panels with painted decorative borders. The compass star motif was a common symbol for protection and guidance. The piece retains its wrought iron hardware and sits on rounded ball feet . A lovely rustic trunk that has signs of ware but that just adds to its character.
